January 12, 2026
On January 12, 2026, Anything Helps, in partnership with Minnesota Alliance of Recovery Community Organizations (MARCO) and the Steve Rummler HOPE Network, hosted the first-of-its-kind RCO Community Recovery Summit. This sold-out gathering brought together Recovery Community Organizations, harm reduction leaders, peer recovery specialists, and community partners from across Minnesota for a full day dedicated to learning, relationship-building, and strengthening collaboration across the recovery ecosystem.
The day opened with a keynote from nationally respected harm reduction leader Joy Rucker, whose more than three decades of advocacy for people who use drugs has helped shape Housing First programs, expand overdose prevention initiatives, train providers nationwide, and co-found the National Black Harm Reduction Network. Her message emphasized dignity, equity, and the lifesaving power of community-led support.
More than 125+ community members, peer recovery support specialists, and recovery leaders attended the summit—marking an important moment for Minnesota as organizations work together to bridge recovery support and harm reduction approaches. The event highlighted the growing movement toward whole-person, community-driven care and reinforced the role of collaboration in building stronger, more inclusive recovery communities across the state.
