Education

Anything Helps and Minnesota Overdose Awareness enjoy a tight-knit alliance, united by a shared vision. Emanuel Roberts, our Executive Director, delivered a keynote address at their 2023 Conference and currently serves on their Board of Directors. The two organizations are deeply engaged in a multitude of community education and outreach endeavors slated for 2024.

Furthermore, Anything Helps is dedicated to leveraging Naloxone Trainings as a pivotal tool for community education, fostering a network of safety. Concurrently, we are in the process of launching a Syringe Service Program, tailored to meet the needs of our community and provide secure avenues for harm reduction. We firmly uphold the belief that as long as individuals are alive, there exists potential for recovery.

                                                                       Defining Ideas

Harm Reduction is a set of practical strategies and ideas aimed at reducing negative consequences associated with drug use. It acknowledges that drug use is a complex issue and seeks to minimize the harm caused by both drug use itself and the policies and practices surrounding it. Abstinence, viewed as the ultimate form of harm reduction, entails complete cessation of substance use. However, we recognize that recovery is a deeply personal journey, and individuals may choose different paths to achieve it. We advocate for the customization of recovery approaches and strive to create an environment that fosters safety and support for all individuals on their journey towards recovery.
